No formal knowledge or experience of using a virtual learning environment is required. Participants should have a basic understanding of an internet browser.
The session will make reference to the Professional Development Gateway course Quizzes in Canvas. Participants may find it useful to look at the course prior to signing up for this session.
This session will introduce you to the quiz features in Canvas.
The session will comprise a short presentation / demonstration, followed by a series of guided hands-on activities. There will be a range of activities to choose from, based around different topics areas that are covered in the respective Professional Development Gateway course.
We will cover the essential functionality, including the range of available question types and optional settings, and then consider how your quizzes can be made available to students. Using quizzes as surveys will also be discussed. Finally, some options for additional management of quizzes will be considered, including copying between courses and features available within question banks.
You are also welcome to bring your own examples of questions to try within the session.
