Future of Work

The Future of Work gives you access to the changing world of work. The B-Enterprising team, as part of Careers Network, are working with employers and University of Birmingham alumni to understand where jobs will be in the future and what skills are needed.

Future of Work

Have you heard of these job titles

Personal Data Brokers, Man Machine Manager, Digital Tailors,  Health Care Technicians, AI Business Development Manager, Data Detective, Financial Wellness Coach, Cyber City Analyst, Quantum Machine Learning Analyst and Genetic Diversity Officer. No? Well these just could be a reality in the very near future.

We have organised an employer speaker event which, we believe, this experience will improve your working knowledge of different job sectors and future job roles.

Next event

Our Future of Work event programme has finished for 2018-19. More information will appear here shortly, but if you would like to be the first to hear about our next event, why not join our mailing list by emailing the team.

Utilise your University of Birmingham experience by:

  • Doing something you wouldn't have done before - experiences will help you figure out what you do and don't like (such as the above events).
  • Learn how to see things through - volunteering is a great way to get out there, whilst making an impactful change. Get involved with Up Our Street - an opportunity to take action in the local community.
  • Make it happen with others and collaborating together - working as a team helps you to understand where your strengths are and how best to work with others. Get involved with our Student Competitions - here you can apply for funding as a group and bring your ideas to life!
  • Take action on your idea - if you want to take your idea forward and need support on 'how' to actually make this happen, we offer specific start-up support to make your idea real.
