Tim served three consecutive three-year terms as Chair & Managing Partner of Taylor Wessing (TW) law firm in which time he led its transformation into a global law firm. Tim has significant stakeholder management skills and global operational knowledge and oversaw almost all of Taylor Wessing’s international growth: global turnover increased by 60% and profitability by 90%; geographic expansion through mergers involving 20 new offices in Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia; a comprehensive rebrand and a focus on key growth sectors, most notably technology. Before leading the firm Tim was a partner in TW’s Corporate law practice.
Tim stood down from his leadership role in October 2018 to take up a variety of roles in the not-for-profit sector including as Chair of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He is also Chair of the Theatres Trust (a Government appointment by the Secretary of State at the DCMS) as well as the Jerwood Charitable Foundation. He is also involved in a number of private business ventures.
Tim combines energetic and visionary leadership with profound knowledge of international business culture and strategy development including in highly regulated environments; he has deep expertise in motivating individuals and teams to flourish and in growing client relationships; and he has strong experience in brand development, technology solutions and risk management.
