How do I become a mentor?

Jeremy

Mentor

“I am passionate about enabling students at the University of Birmingham to achieve their full potential and relish the opportunity to assist our bright and talented students.”

There are two steps to become a mentor:

1. Complete registration form - please submit this form (it takes on average about 20 minutes to complete). Once we have received this, we will send you a welcome email with some information on when we will next be in contact again.

2. Complete online training course - to support you with preparing for your mentoring relationship, we have created a training course explaining the different stages - from building rapport, goal setting and concluding the relationship. Once you have submitted the registration form, we will send you the training course for you to complete before starting your mentoring relationship. All mentors are required to complete our online training course and must inform us once they have completed this. The course takes on average about 30 minutes to complete.

Make a difference today by sharing your knowledge and expertise with our students.
