Student Administration Refresh and Simplication (StARS)

StARS+ is a University-wide programme to simplify, standardise and improve our student administration services, enabled by a replacement and upgrade of our student record system. The programme began in late 2018 and is due to complete in summer 2023.

Members of the Academic Service Project Team are currently project managing strands of this programme.

UoBe Festival (formerly Enrichment Week)

UoBe Festival will take place the week which falls between the end of Semester 1 and the start of Semester 2 in the New Academic Teaching Year. It will run the week beginning 25th January 2021.

The vision for this week is to offer a series of activities outside the main academic discipline to add value to the students’ portfolio of skills, and to help them to unwind after a busy exam period. It will provide students with a unique opportunity to reengage with the University and the community, take part in collaborative projects, gain additional support and assistance as they approach Semester 2, and give all students the chance to do a range of activities that excite and personally interest them.

Following student testing and feedback, it has been agreed that UoBe Festival will be formed of 5 thematic areas. These are:

• Community 
• Skills 
• Wellbeing 
• Social 
• Varsity

Sixth College 

The Sixth College concept aims to look at each area of Professional Services, how responsibilities are divided and delivered, resourced and led, with the aim of highlighting opportunities to help enhance the way we work with the Colleges and in order to meet our shared goals.

The Academic Services Project Team are project managing the Sixth College.
