  • The Open University, in conjunction with Russell Group Universities, has produced a hub of resources called Jumpstart to help students starting university prepare for and settle into their studies. The resource includes in-depth courses on writing, critical thinking and revision. 

  • PASS: The University of Birmingham Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) scheme can help you adjust to University life, improve your study habits, and enhance your understanding of the subject matter in your course

  • Academic Skills Gateway: Our online gateway for starting and continuing your academic learning

  • English language support for international students can be accessed through the Birmingham International Academy
