A PASS Leader must be willing to:
- Attend the leader expectations workshop and training sessions (10 hrs)
- Plan and run your weekly PASS session (1.5 hrs)
- Attend debrief sessions (30 mins max)
- Communicate with students
- Communicate with the PASS team and the PASS Academic Lead
Action in sessions:
You will be required to facilitate discussions; be supportive of problems; signpost students to relevant help; take attendance; work with another PASS leader; give 1st years confidence to ask questions inside and outside of PASS
Action outside sessions:
You will be required to email your PASS group to remind of session time/location: ask your PASS group if there are any specifics they would like to cover – advertise this if necessary; suggest topics for discussion that caused any problems last year; keep in contact with PASS Leader partner and team.
Trustworthy; non-judgemental; role model (not perfect, but a demonstration that you ‘survived the first year); enthusiasm, friendly, approachable
Support for you:
Regular contact with PASS partner and PASS team; further training and support as required.

Give answers to academic questions or coursework!
