PGR Funding Workshop

This workshop, delivered for us by the Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding team, will explore alternative methods of funding postgraduate study - raising money for fees, living expenses, or research and conference costs. A major but seldom-considered funding option is the thousands of charities out there.

By the end of the course, participants will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to:

1. identify the types of charity that will be appropriate to them

2. find these bodies via books and the internet

3. apply strongly and in the correct fashion

The workshop is taught via a mixture of PowerPoint presentations, focussed discussion, and group activities. The course leader is one of a team of experienced trainers, who won £65,000 between them from charities and trusts as postgraduate students.
