Being a PhD researcher is a hugely rewarding journey in many ways, but can also involve some challenges. You may have many questions and concerns about your PhD journey and might be feeling like you are the only one feeling this way. The good news is that you aren't the only one and talking to fellow researchers and members of staff can be very helpful.

The aim of our PhD Chat session is to give you an opportunity to meet other PGRs, ask any questions, learn about the support available as well as share your experience and help others. Each session involves an introduction on a specific topic related to pursuing a postgraduate degree, followed by an informal discussion and experience sharing over lunch. Whether you are a new or a current PGR, do come and contribute to the wonderful and supportive PhD community at the University of Birmingham. Lunch is provided, so please register your attendance.

PhD Chat will take place on the following dates:

Thursday 31 October 2019 (Discussion topic: Working productively & maintaining a healthy work/life balance)

Thursday 28 November 2019 (Discussion topic: Academic writing tips #acwrimo)
