Being a PhD researcher is a hugely rewarding journey in many ways, but can also involve some challenges. You may have many questions and concerns about your PhD journey and might be feeling like you are the only one feeling this way. The good news is that you aren't the only one and talking to fellow researchers and members of staff can be very helpful. The aim of our PhD Chat session is to give you an opportunity to meet other PGRs, ask any questions, learn about the support available as well as share your experience and help others. Each session involves a facilitated discussion on a specific topic related to pursuing a PhD, followed by experience sharing. Whether you are a new or a current PGR, do come and contribute to the wonderful and supportive PhD community at the University of Birmingham. PhD Chat will take place on the following dates:

21 March 2019 (Thursday) 12:30-14:30 – PhD Chat (Discussion topic: TBC)

16 May 2019 (Thursday) 12:30-14:30 – PhD Chat (Discussion topic: TBC)

11 July 2019 (Thursday) 12:30-14:30 – PhD Chat (Discussion topic: TBC)

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

If there is a specific topic that you would like us to include in the PhD Chat, please contact Dr. Eren Bilgen (f.erenbilgen@bham.ac.uk)
