The Research Poster Conference in the Great Hall
The University Graduate School's annual Research Poster Conference has been a major event at the University of Birmingham since 2007. The conference showcases some of the best new postgraduate researchers, giving them a platform to engage a wider audience with the unique research that happens right here in the University. This is an opportunity to meet some of the minds responsible for pushing back the limits of human knowledge and hear their first-hand account of their work.

The conference guest session runs from 14.00 - 15.30, guests are also welcome to stay for the results of the morning's judging session and the awarding of prizes from 15.30 - 16.30. Attendance is free, you need only register a place in advance and free drinks and light refreshments will also be provided.

The RPC is an opportunity for staff and students from around the University to become more aware about the diversity of research that happens in Birmingham, and also an opportunity for members of the local community, including schools, community groups and businesses to come onto campus and talk to Birmingham researchers.

Who can attend?

This event is for anyone with an interest in research and the University of Birmingham. Over a hundred postgraduate researchers, representing all five Colleges will be present to talk about their work, and the event is intended for a non-specialist audience so the posters will be easy to understand and jargon-free.
