Your graduation options

You have four options.  You can:

Once you have decided how you would like to graduate you must confirm this preference online.

How to respond

Once you have decided how you would like to graduate you must confirm this preference via our online invitation service:

  1. Log on to www.my.bham.ac.uk using your student username and password.  If you experience problems logging onto my.bham please go to the MyPassword website or contact the IT Helpdesk.
  2. Click on the myProgress tab.
  3. Click on the link to Degree Congregations where you will receive on-screen instructions on how to confirm your graduation preference.

Under University Regulation 7.11.3 you should confirm your graduation preference by 1 March 2020 at the latest.  Due to the limited number of places at each Degree Congregation we cannot guarantee a place for you should you attempt to confirm your attendance after this date.

Failure to respond

If you do not confirm your graduation preference then we shall automatically assume that you wish to graduate in your absence.

Debt

To graduate in July 2020 you must have cleared any debt to the University by 19 June 2020 at the latest.  Failure to do so will result in your name being omitted from proceedings and a delay in your graduation.

Any queries relating to tuition fee debt should be directed to Student Fees in the Finance Office studentfees@bham.ac.uk.
