You can report a non-emergency security problem by phone, email, or by completing the form below. These messages will be received on weekdays during working hours only, and you won’t get an immediate response.
What is a non-emergency?
Any situation you think needs our attention, but doesn’t pose an immediate risk to the life, safety or security of a person or property. Examples might include a crime that’s already happened, such as discovering your bike has been stolen overnight.
What should I do?
If a crime has happened, report it to the police on their non-emergency number, 101. Then contact Security to report it. The police will give you a crime report number, which you should share with Security.
If not, report the non-emergency directly to Security.
Remember: the non-emergency number is 0121 414 3000.

We’ll take appropriate action. We’ll also use your report to monitor the overall picture of security on and around campus. By reporting a non-emergency, you’ll be helping us track patterns of behaviour or areas of concern.
