I have been offered a casual job on campus, what do I do next?

If you have been recruited within your school or department, your hiring manager will be in contact with Worklink to provide details of your casual work assignment.

If you have been successful in your online job application, the Worklink team will contact you with instructions within 7 working days of the advertisement closing.

Step 1:

You must provide your right to work documents (visit our FAQ to find out which documents you need) to your hiring manager prior to starting in your work assignment.

Step 2:

Worklink will contact you with an email offer of casual work. We ask that you reply to this email to confirm your acceptance of your assignment within 3 working days. Please check your spam and junk email folders.

Step 3:

You may also be asked to complete a joiners form, which will be included within your email offer.

Step 4:

You will then need to submit your bank details and a starter declaration in the Core system by the payroll deadlines. If you are using the Core system off campus you must set up Remote Access.

Step 5:

You will need to submit timecards on a weekly basis. Please note that your assignment will be closed down 8 weeks after the end date and you will not be able to submit time after this date.

Once we have received your acceptance of the offer and completed joiners form, the Worklink team will progress with the setup of your casual work assignment.

If you do not have a current active assignment and need to access the Core system, Worklink will send you an assignment confirmation email, which includes details of how to access the Core system for the first time.
