Sustainable travel

However you travel to the University whether you:

there is a wide range of initiatives, guidance and information as outlined within the University's Sustainable Travel Action Plan and the Smartmover Sustainable Travel Guide, 2013 to increase your travel choice and help support you to plan your own personal sustainable travel journey.

Information is also available on:

Events are held on campus throughout the year such as Cycle Roadshows which provide FREE bike maintenance, personal cycle lessons and security tagging.

Latest information on sustainable travel initiatives is also available including new NXWM bus routes to the main campus and bike maintenance classes.

As nearly a quarter of all car journeys are under two miles, walking or cycling is often a practical alternative which can also help you to achieve a healthier active lifestyle. For advice on exercise, health and fitness contact the University Sport's Thrive team.

Safe travel guidance

It is important that you follow simple Safe Travel Guidance and adopt a Be Considerate Be Safe approach to ensure that you stay safe throughout your journey to the University.
