  • Promote outcomes of Market Research activities across the University
  • Ensure that Admissions processing targets are  met
  • Deliver the outcomes of the Admissions Review and the UKVI mock audit carried out by Academic Services


  • Lead delivery of TEF communications internally and externally in order to maximise impact for the University
  • Lead delivery of student recruitment, marketing and profile raising activity associated with opening Dubai campus in 2018

 Educational Enterprise

  • Encourage the advancement of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) in the student experience both on and off campus
  • Grow the University’s  portfolio of online programmes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Digital Education Strategy
  • Oversee the development of the Dubai programme portfolio from a TEL perspective

 International Relations

  • Lead the implementation of the refreshed institional strategy for Brazil
  • Drive supplementary recruitment through Transnational Education (TNE) partnerships including offshore provision, direct entry, paid study abroad and pre-masters foundation programmes via institutional partners
  • Implement mechanism for measuring the success of TNE partnerships and setting targets aligned to standard recruitment activity
  • Support the development of the University's Dubai Campus as it moves towards a 2018 opening
  • Deliver Birmingham International Summer School (BISS) to attract future prospective students; contribute to partnership building, facilitate mobility and enhance the University's international reputation


  • Deliver effective and efficient marketing plans that leverage the University’s scale and resources to deliver student targets
  • Ensure a digital first approach, launching digital innovations that enable a step change in recruitment cycle performance
  • Develop the enquirer and applicant contact strategy for home and overseas undergraduate, leveraging behavioural data and personalisation to improve engagement and conversion
  • Refine activity at the programme level to showcase excellence or to provide focus where targets and performance are challenging
