Question:
What is Internal Audit
Answer:

Internal Audit is a service to management and to Council. It evaluates the effectiveness of the systems and procedures within the University. HEFCE requires internal audit to be carried out, and has published a Code of Practice that we are required to follow (See useful links for further information). Internal Audit at Birmingham consists of a team of five people who are University employees. In addition to this, we subcontract technical computer audits - our current provider is Deloitte & Touche LLP.
