Procuring goods and services as ethically as possible means minimising any negative environmental, social or economic impacts at the same time as taking opportunities to enhance our contribution to society and the economy through the things we buy. We call this Ethical Procurement; other universities may call it Sustainable Procurement or even Responsible Procurement.
The most important thing is that we consider the environmental, social and economic considerations of everything we purchase, every time we purchase – we consider this simply part of excellent procurement.
The following pages will provide you with an overview of our approach.
These pages will tell you more about our commitment to Ethical Procurement and how we put it into practice.
