After conducting research with our customers we discovered that not many people realised venuebirmingham is part of the University of Birmingham, or that we are in fact its own dedicated events management team.
To help our customers better understand who we are and how we operate we have taken this first step of changing our name and visual identity. You’ll notice this has changed on our website www.birmingham.ac.uk/conferences-and-events and communications we send out.
Work has been taking place with the backing of the International League Tables Working Group. One of the areas that has been explored is our current ability to attract and support the type of conference that would enhance the reputation of the University. Allowing our leading academicians to showcase their work and create new relationships and collaborations.
Due to this initiative we are looking to introduce a delegate management service to encourage our academics to bid for conferences within their field to be held at the University of Birmingham. Our service will support them to do this, with competitively priced requisite administrative and promotional resources. Further updates on this will be sent during the autumn term.

We are proud of our heritage and want you to know a little about it.
We started out as a small team in the 1960’s and have grown with the needs of the University and our clients over the years. Although we have gone by a few different names, our ethos and values have never changed. Making important moments happen is at the heart of what we do and we achieve this through our leadership, teamwork, professionalism, pride, integrity, pragmatism and belief in excellence.
The team is able to provide you with room hire, catering, accommodation, audio visual services, security, porterage and cleaning on-site at the University of Birmingham. Whether you’re organising a small meeting for 10 in Staff House, a conference for 200 in the Bramall or a gala dinner for 400 in the Great Hall, we can help you arrange everything necessary to make your event a success. This includes providing accommodation at the Conference Park Hotel or in our student accommodation during the summer months. Keep an eye out for our new hotel opening in summer 2018.
