Capabilities

The University's capabilities are required by staff to deliver the strategic plan. The capabilities framework was reviewed in line with the 2008  organisational review. Revisions were made as the new University structure emerged and recruitment was undertaken to Grade 9 and above posts.

The Academic and Academic-Related capability framework was developed as part of the PDR scheme and maps to the seven capabilities as follows:

  • Strategic Thinking & Perspective
  • Leading People
  • Organisational Understanding
  • Communication
  • Performance & Resource Management
  • Leading Change
  • Working Collaboratively 

The Support Staff capability framework was developed as part of the PDR scheme and maps to the five capabilities as follows:

  • Customer Focus
  • Team Working
  • Personal Effectiveness
  • Results Delivery
  • Communication
