University mobiles - did you know?

In 2017, the University signed a new contract with the mobile network provider EE. The new contract provides those staff currently using a University mobile with a huge increase in data allowance and a significant reduction in international data roaming charges. 

Even if you’re not currently using a University mobile, you may feel you need one to do your job, or are in the process of ordering one. We want this process to be quick and easy, so we've listed a few FAQs below along with a few useful links:

What are the rules and regulations around using a work mobile phone?

I use my University for work and personal reasons, is there a policy around this?

The University allow this, as long as calls made and data used is within the the allowed mobile package.

What is the process for ordering a work mobile?

Once you have approval from your line manager, please complete a mobile request on the IT Service Now portal. For more information on how to order a work mobile, and the other mobile services available, please visit IT Services Mobile
