Important update about connecting to the University's WiFi

On Wednesday, 27 November we will be renewing our wireless network certificate.  This is the digital certificate that authenticates your account and provides you with a secure connection to the University's wireless network.

This is a standard process that we have to do every two years in order to ensure that your connection to our wireless network remains secure. This applies to our eduroam and UOBwifi networks.

How will this affect me?

Once we have applied the new certificate you may receive a pop up message when you next attempt to connect to the wireless network on your laptop or mobile device, which asks you to verify the new certificate. 

This message will vary depending on which device you are using to connect (see example below). If you do recieve the pop up message, don't be alarmed, it is safe to click, continue, connect or trust, depending on your device, and you will connect to the University's WiFi as normal.
