Students: Access University software from home over Christmas
If you're travelling home for Christmas, you may be wondering how you'll be able to use the software you need to, without access to the University's computers. IT Services has found a solution - so you can continue your studies, without having to buy expensive personal software licences.
You can now remotely log in to computers across campus, using our Remote Computer Access service. You can securely access all the same specialist software that you would use on campus, on your own device - any time, anywhere.
- View the availability of over 1,500 computers across campus on an easy-to-navigate map.
- Use the search function to find a computer with the specific software you need.
- See the full list of available software in our Knowledge article – we’ve made over 360 packages available.
Find out how to use Remote Computer Access in our Knowledge article. Here you'll find detailed instructions explaining how to log in to and use the service, for students and staff.
So, now you can study at home, with all the benefits of the University’s tech you’d normally access on campus. We're making IT accessible for all.
Stay safe and well.
