Remote Access – change to the client
If you use the University’s Remote Access Service to access your University files and data when away from the University network then please be aware that we are making a minor change to the client that you use to access the service.
From Thursday 24 October, the name of the client in your Start menu will change from ‘BIG-IP Edge Client’ to ‘Remote Access Client’. We are making this change so that the client reflects more closely the name of the service that it launches. The change will happen automatically on your University managed device and you will not be prompted to install anything or restart your device.
This change will not affect how the Remote Access Service works.
Please note, that that this change only affects University managed devices. If you have the Remote Access client installed on your own personal device the client will still be named BIG-IP Edge Client.
