"I have been a Project Manager with the Project Office since 2005 following a number of years as a librarian in public and University libraries. I have managed many IT and non-IT related projects during this time including the replacement of the University's virtual learning environment, setting up the collaboration between the Shakespeare Institute and the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Other Place, and implementing the Research Costing & Pricing System with the Finance Office. Most recently I have been working on a project relating to remote access to IT, and coordinating the programme of Open Data projects. I have qualifications including PRINCE2, APMP, Change Management and ITIL. I am also a trained facilitator and an accredited coach with the University’s Coaching Academy and try to bring this variety of skills and experience to my day to day project management."

"I’ve been managing projects for over 10 years ranging from BUAFTAs and Supplier Management to Responsive Website and a research project, BIFoR (Birmingham Institute of Forestry Research); the only project for which I’ve had to smother myself in insect repellent for (pesky mosquitos!). Currently I’m working on a project to upgrade the campus CCTV system as well as managing the project to upgrade the UoB Portal (my.bham).  I’m PRINCE 2 Foundation and Practitioner certified in addition to having ITIL certification but also draw on skills from an MA in management, time as a Primary School teacher (in Berlin, as well as UK) and achievement of a Yoga diploma (flexibility and calm approach suiting projects rather well!)"
