IT Services offer an updated self-service system called Application Catalogue for all staff at the University of Birmingham
This service allows you quick and simple access to a list of common applications available for you to download and install onto your University Windows managed device without the need for an admin password, disks, or lengthy installation guides.

The Application catalogue lists many controlled and tested applications and software available for you to download and install quickly and securely. Examples of software available in the Application Catalogue are, but not limited to:
- Mozilla FireFox
- Remote Access
- Chrome
- SigmaPlot
- Mind Manager
The Application Catalogue is immediately available from your University Windows managed device by using any one of the following methods:
- Windows 7 - Start menu > All Programs > Desktop Management > UoB - and click UoB - My Applications
- Windows 8 & 10 – Type ‘My Applications’ in your device Start Menu or Search Box and click UoB - My Applications
- You can also visit My Software when on campus (or request off-campus access for a limited period). Find out more about My Software.
