What is China Link?
China Link is a new temporary service for Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught students registered at Edgbaston who are currently studying in mainland China. China Link creates a secure connection between your computer and the University of Birmingham via Shanghai, enabling you to experience more reliable and consistent access to University of Birmingham resources and materials.
How do I use it?
To use the new China Link service, you will need to download and install a piece of software on your computer called FortiClient. The software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Once you have installed the software on your computer you will need to sign in using your University of Birmingham username and password.
Please note: You should only use China Link when you are in mainland China.
What resources and materials are available through China Link?
From the start you will have secure access to Canvas, Panopto, IT Service Portal and University of Birmingham library resources. Access to further learning resources and materials will be available soon.
