A number of new integrated Office 365 services have been introduced as part of a new pilot

Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud based platform that offers a range of different intergrated business services. The University currently subscribes to Office 365 to deliver some student and alumni services.

This pilot introduces some of the other services offered by Office 365 as part of a larger, phased programme of work. It will enable access to an exciting range of communication and collaboration tools that can transform the way we work.

By releasing the Office 365 services below to a small group of users we aim to provide some initial answers to a number of key questions around how we best use the services, what limits we might place on them and whether they duplicate any existing tools or applications already in use at the University. Answering these questions will allow us to determine the best way to release these services to the wider University in the future.

What services are available?





Teams is a customisable chat-based workspace that makes it easy to have conversations, host meetings, share files and collaborate on documents and get work done with the teams you work with.

OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is a cloud-based storage service that allows you store, edit, share and collaborate on your files and documents. It is a fully integrated part of Office 365 which means you can access, edit and save your Office files all without having to download them to your computer.

Forms allows you to create custom surveys, quizzes, polls and questionnaires. You can review the results in real time and perform analysis on the collected data.

Flow is a workflow management tool for automating workflows across applications and services. It lets you create workflows to decrease time-consuming tasks or processes that automate approvals, send/receive notifications, synchronise files or collect, organise and update data.

StaffHub is a cloud-based platform that works across all your devices. It enables first-line workers and their managers to manage rotas, communicate with their teams and share content.
