RDN

Question:

What is the Research Data Network (RDN)
Answer:

The Research Data Network (RDN) is a very specialized network, connecting research equipment/facilities that generate very high volumes of data to BEAR processing and storage services in University data centres at high speed. This makes it possible for the research groups operating this equipment to exploit centrally provided compute capability and transfer large volumes of data to the Research Data Store (RDS) for processing and/or secure storage.
