Boost Libraries 1.63.0

Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries.

There is an emphasis that libraries work well with the C++ Standard Library. Boost libraries are intended to be widely useful, and usable across a broad spectrum of applications. The Boost license encourages both commercial and non-commercial use.

Accessing the software

To load the module:

$ module load apps/boost/1.63.0

When compiling C++ code that uses Boost you can use ${BOOST_ROOT}/include and ${BOOST_ROOT}/lib to link against the include header files and also Boost's libraries.

e.g.

g++ regex.cpp -o regex -I${BOOST_ROOT}/include -lboost_regex-mt

Accessing Previous Versions

Wherever possible, previous versions of this application will be retained for continuity, especially for research projects that require a consistent version of the software throughout the project. Such versions, however, may be unsupported by IT Services or the applications vendor, and may be withdrawn at short or no notice if they can no longer run on the cluster - for example, essential operating system upgrades may be incompatible with old versions.
