CULAtools dense R17, sparse S5

CULA is a set of GPU-accelerated linear algebra libraries utilizing the NVIDIA CUDA parallel computing architecture. It has two components:

  • CULA dense which provides accelerated implementations of the LAPACK and BLAS libraries for dense linear algebra. Contains routines for systems solvers, singular value decompositions, and eigenproblems.
  • CULA sparse which provides tools necessary to rapidly solve large sparse systems using iterative methods. Multiple algorithms, preconditioners, and data storage formats are supported.

Accessing the software

To load the module:

$ module load apps/cula/r17s5

CULAtools is a collection of headers and libraries and these should be linked against when compiling a dependent application.

To do this include the following in the link line:

-lcula_lapack

Accessing Previous Versions

Wherever possible, previous versions of this application will be retained for continuity, especially for research projects that require a consistent version of the software throughout the project. Such versions, however, may be unsupported by IT Services or the applications vendor, and may be withdrawn at short or no notice if they can no longer run on the cluster - for example, essential operating system upgrades may be incompatible with old versions.

At present there are no previous versions of this application on the BlueBEAR service.
