Stata v15

Stata is described as a complete, integrated statistical package that provides everything needed for data analysis, data management, and graphics.

Accessing the software

To load the module:

$ module load Stata/15

An example command to include in your job script:

stata -b do <stata-commands>

For multi-core jobs the following command must be used instead:

stata-mp ...

The graphical single-core Stata can be executed using the command:

xstata

 

Parallel Stata Job

If you are looking to run the multicore version of Stata then you should include:

#SBATCH --nodes 1
#SBATCH --ntasks 16

in your job submission file. And you should use:

stata-mp -b do

to run Stata.

Accessing Previous Versions

Wherever possible, previous versions of this application will be retained for continuity, especially for research projects that require a consistent version of the software throughout the project. Such versions, however, may be unsupported by IT Services or the applications vendor, and may be withdrawn at short or no notice if they can no longer run on the cluster - for example, essential operating system upgrades may be incompatible with old versions.
