Introductory Statement

  • Working closely with colleagues in IT Services and Professional Services, I act as the initial contact for the scoping, realisation and delivery of new projects and services. I take the lead identifying IT services in support of the University Strategic framework.
  • Working with senior stakeholders, I act as a trusted advisor so that they are able to understand and align with key technology related strategies and appreciate opportunities to exploit technology capabilities and innovation.
  • The business areas that I partner are Campus Services, Estates, and the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO).

I studied BSc Natural Sciences (Maths and Chemistry) here at the University of Birmingham, and after graduating my career centred on retail technology. I started out on the Technology Leadership graduate scheme at Tesco, working on a range of customer facing projects including electronic shelf labelling and automated queue counting. I then joined Accenture as a Technology Consultant, followed by ALDI as a Manager in a new transformation department. Bridging the gap between Business and IT in several organisations led me to the role of Business Partner here at the University.

I live in Birmingham and try to enjoy all the city has to offer, but often find myself down elsewhere catching up with my friends, many of whom are fellow Birmingham graduates.

Feel free to drop me a line to say hello, and you can find me on LinkedIn here.
