Departments, research groups, project teams and committees from across the University can use Team Sites as their platform for collaboration, sharing documents, discussion and announcements, and for project planning.

Please be aware sessions are conducted on a bi monthly basis and we would advise that all staff attend at least the introductory course or visit the online training area prior to working with SharePoint. End user - classroom based
This training session will be more suited to those that want to learn more about using Team Sites and the SharePoint interface.
- Introduction to SharePoint: How it could be useful to your team, what other systems it integrates with, Site hierarchy navigation and layout.
- Information Pages: Access all of your Team/Department information in one place.
- Introduction to Document Libraries: Uploading and editing files easily with automatic version and permission controls and integrated Office features.
- Using Discussion Boards and Newsfeeds: Making communicating with other team members simpler.
- Using shared Calendars: View notable dates e.g. closed days and sync these to your outlook calendar.
- Using Task lists and Announcements: See how these features will allow you to share information with visitors to your site on when the next meetings are scheduled who tasks are assigned to and much more.

Site Owner classroom based
Following on from the End User training session
?This training session is suitable for those of you that already have a Team Site and want to customise the features as well as using the interface.
- Create and customise pages: Learn how you can create and add content to your pages including text, images, videos, without the need for approval which can then be shared with others to read or to edit.
- Managing Document Libraries: Create and use folders, sort and filter with columns, create custom views of items in the library, and restrict access to a library or document. Also learn how to allow multiple people can author a document simultaneously.
- Setting Alerts and Permissions: Using SharePoint to automate processes reducing the need to send email updates and allowing restricting or limiting access to sites/pages/libraries/documents.
- Using built in Apps: Use these features:
- For easy transfer of data into a format that everyone can edit and view simultaneously.
- Discuss and communicate ideas effectively without the need for Email.
- Collaborate on projects and work together on content.

Managing a document library
These workshops are shorter sessions aimed at users that have attended End user and Site Owner training and would like to access more advanced properties within the document library such as:
- Managing permissions to a document library
