Research Planning Team

The Research Planning team works with staff across the University to promote and develop the strategic approach to research. A crucial aspect of this is leading the preparation of the University’s submission to the national Research Excellence Framework 2014, including the impact elements that are new for 2014. Each of the Research Impact Officers provides support for submissions to particular REF Main Panels. Further details of the work on REF 2014 are on REF 2014

The team also supports the work of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for R&KT and the University’s Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee and is involved in the strategic oversight of Pure, the new Research Information System the University is implementing.
