Richard Weston

My name is Richard Weston and I have a learning disability. I have been working for the University part time for 14 years. I was lucky enough to get the support of a training advisor when I attended an Administration course at the Employment Preparation Unit back in 1998. They were able to arrange an interview at the University and I was offered the position of Administration Assistant with the School of Social Sciences in the School office.

I stayed there for 10 years working for several different managers. I changed jobs four years ago and my main role is now to replace paper for use in copiers in Muirhead Tower and the Business School. I like working here because I have made a lot of friends over the years I have worked here.

In my spare time I love watching Horror and Sci-Fi films, my favourite film is Clockwork Orange and the worst film I have ever seen is The Avengers! I also love going to Great Yarmouth with my family.
