Commonwealth Games toolkit

As an Official Partner of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the University of Birmingham played a key role in delivering an outstanding international sporting event that focussed the eyes of the world on our city, our region, and our world-leading reputation for excellence.

We’ve developed this toolkit to bring together some of the key information that can help you celebrate the University’s contribution.

Key facts and figures

From the amount of medal winners to the game-changing research impact, we’ve compiled some of the key facts and figures from the Games to celebrate our contribution. These have been approved and can appear across marketing materials when reflecting on the Games.

FAQs

Can I use the Commonwealth Games logo?

Due to the contract with the Games, we are unable to use the Commonwealth Games logo in promotion with the University after the 31 December 2022. Therefore we’d ask you don’t use the logo on any new materials.

I still have images collected from the Campaigns & Reputation team during the Games – can I still use those?

We may have licensing for the images, but it’s always best to check. Please contact the Brand team who will be able to confirm if you can still use the images and how.
