The aim of this session and workshop is to share ideas and tips for getting the most out of Canvas as a learning tool. In the sessions and workshop demonstrations colleagues from the TEL Hub along with teaching staff will be sharing ideas that help students learn, help staff develop good learning materials and help improve efficiency and effectiveness in assessment. The talks and demonstrations will include:
- Rubrics to speed up online marking
- Linking Resource Lists to Canvas
- Plugins that are available to make Canvas more useful and how to use them
- How to embed videos in Canvas
- Introduction to Canvas’ analytics functions to track student engagement
- Building quizzes in Canvas for learning and assessment
- Adding Panopto videos to Canvas
- Extended use of Canvas for mathematical subjects
