Curriculum data restructure - October 2019
Throughout summer 2019 StARS consulted widely on how to implement changes to how programme and module data is organised and presented, some of which were recommended by the University Recruitment, Admissions and Targets Board (URAT) in 2018.
In October, following consultation with Schools and Colleges, and with great support from the Registry Curriculum Management Team, some 550 programme codes and nearly 700 module codes were "deactivated" in the system. These were all programmes and modules that had recruited no students in the previous three academic years.
This rationalisation of our vast number of codes will make it easier to implement changes that will eventually see the introduction of online student self-registration for optional modules.
