If you need a bit of support and advice for writing and structuring your PGT dissertation, then this is the workshop for you. Our ASC expert will look at different approaches you can take to improving your writing, structuring a dissertation, and writing more critically and reflectively.

Join the University Graduate School and the Academic Skills Centre for this online workshop, followed by a Q&A where you can ask any questions related to dissertations and writing.

The workshop covers:

  • How to approach writing your dissertation,
  • How to improve your writing,
  • How to plan and structure your writing,
  • Where to find resources for further help,
  • Advice for writing reflectively/critically,
  • and a Q&A where you can ask our academic expert for help and advice.

Please note, the session will NOT cover:

  • Support for academic English,
  • Proofreading or editing for a piece of work,
  • Advice for creative writing.

You will be sent the Zoom details via email before the event - these emails can end up in junk folders, so check them! If you do not receive this email, please contact Elizabeth O'Connor at e.r.oconnor@bham.ac.uk.

Please note that registration closes an hour before the event: contact Elizabeth if you would like to join short-notice.

A recording of the workshop presentation will be available afterwards.
