Statement from the University of Birmingham

We understand that students may be shocked to hear of the abhorrent crimes committed by a former post-doctoral researcher.  We would like to reassure students that the offences are not in any way connected to the University or any other current or former staff or students. Our thoughts are with all of the victims of these terrible crimes and their families.
