Student (re)induction
To get you thinking about your time at Birmingham we would like you to complete a short induction on the University’s e-learning platform Canvas. You can evaluate your study skills, consider extra-curricular opportunities and understand what support is on offer for you. There is also a re-induction module for returning students available on Canvas.
The induction also includes an exercise in preparation for your first meeting with your Personal Academic Tutor when you arrive. Your School or Department will tell you who your tutor is and invite you to meet them within two weeks of your arrival.
The exercise is part of your PebblePad Portfolio. You will keep your Portfolio throughout your university life and beyond. In addition to tutoring support you can use it for other purposes including your coursework and for building up your own CV.
Please note you will be asked to login to Canvas using your new username and password provided to you at Online Registration. If you have not already completed Online Registration please do so as soon as possible in order to access Canvas. You will then be able to find you Online Induction Module on your Canvas Dashboard.
