Take advantage of new Microsoft Office 365 service

All UoB students now have the option to download the latest version of Microsoft Office for free, as part of the Office 365 service, making it easy to use Office on up to five devices. During this transition all student email addresses will change to @student.bham.ac.uk.

To sign up to access these features, log in to the IT Service Desk and follow the steps to change your password. Once you have changed your password, your account will be activated and you can access Office 365 features at login.microsoftonline.com using your full username @student.bham.ac.uk to log in.

From Friday 21 March, the upgrade to Office 365, upon request, will also provide Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students with a larger mailbox of 50GB, a new cleaner interface, enhanced compatibility with touch enabled devices, and an instant messaging service allowing students to view presence information and contact each other across campus. Postgraduate Research students will not have their mailbox upgraded.
