Meet the candidates of the West Midlands Mayoral elections

The candidates for the West Midlands Metro Mayoral elections will be visiting campus during February to share their ideas and policies, and answer any questions you may have.These events have been organised by the University's Public Affairs team and the Guild of Students.

The sessions will be taking place on the following dates:

  • Andy Street (Conservative): Wednesday 15 February, 6pm-7pm, Guild Council Chamber.
  • Beverley Nielsen (Liberal Democrat): Tuesday 21 February, 6pm-7pm, Guild Council Chamber.
  • Siôn Simon (Labour): Monday 23 January, 5.30pm-6.30pm, Vaughn Jeffries Lecture Theatre in the Arts Building (please note this is different to the venue that was originally advertised).
  • James Burn (Green): Wednesday 25 January, 6pm-7pm, Guild Council Chamber.

The elections will be held on Thursday 4 May and are open to anyone who has registered to vote with an address in Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton Council areas.  Find out more about the West Midlands Metro Mayoral elections on the Guild of Students' website.
