Exams and Ramadan

With students preparing for exams taking place this month, many students will also be fasting during the holy month of Ramadan which takes place alongside exams season.

Students looking to have adjustments made to their exams due to religious observance should have already completed the Religious Observance Form and returned it to the Examinations Office (deadline was 1 February 2019). If you need to contact the Examinations office, their details can be found on the Exams intranet page.

The Oasis Lounge in the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy will be open from 8:30am – 22:00pm, all students are welcomed to use the Oasis Lounge to revise or relax. The Cadbury Room will also be available for prayer, meditation and reflection and there will be chaplains around if you need someone to talk to, this is available to all students. The Islamic Society will be holding Iftar and the Taraweeh prayer everyday on campus; this is open to everyone to attend. More information on events by the Islamic Society during Ramadan can be found on the Islamic Society webpage.
