We recognise that this might not have been the year that anyone expected due to Covid-19 and Spring into Summer @UoB is about giving you the opportunity to enjoy some social activities, unwind and experience Birmingham. If you are able to join us on campus the University has organised a range of activities, including street food stalls, outdoor games and sports taster sessions with UB Sport and Fitness. For students not on campus yet, we also have some virtual activities available for you to connect.
What's on offer?
Indulge in a variety of delicious street foods at one of our food stalls in University Square. Food stalls will change weekly but include British, Italian, Mexican, South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. There is also a curry club at Bratby bar.
Activities (games, arts and crafts)
Enjoy a range of fun activities with your household, activities include outdoor board games, art and crafts and more. You can look forward to some giant versions of some classic boards games like Connect Four, chess and Jenga, mini golf, table tennis, yoga, crafternoon sessions and bread baking with the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy.

For students unable to join us just yet on campus, the University has put on virtual events, including, online exhibitions, a live streamed performance of 'Flight of the Monarchs' and Spring Yin Yoga. You can also take part in sessions with the Careers Network Team looking at work experience bursaries, interview success, and top tips for online applications.

A Covid-19 secure campus
In order to continue to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff we have additional Covid safety measures that you will see in place for Spring into Summer activities. These procedures include extra cleaning procedures, hand cleaning/sanitising, social distancing and one-way entry/exit systems.We also expect students to follow the Covid-19 safe rules and guidelines at all times while on campus, this includes wearing a face covering, following social distancing guidelines and regularly washing/ sanitising your hands. You will also be expected to give your details when attending activities and register for the NHS track and trace app.
Please do not attend campus if you have any Covid symptoms (cough, temperature, or loss of taste/smell) and remember to get regular asymptomatic tests at one of our venues on campus.
