About UoBe Festival

UoBe festival is an exciting  festival created with students for students, the festival allows students to get involved with a range of activities depending on your interests and takes place between the end of semester one and the begining of semester two.   The next UoBe Festival will take place from Sunday 23 - Saturday 29 January 2022.

The previous festival featured five different themes and a diverse range of events, activities and talks. ​Some highlights from the previous festival include digital graffiti, the Vice-Chancellor's Challenge,  cookery classes led by Dr Rupy Aujla as well as high profile speakers including Clarke Carlisle (ex-professional footballer) talking about mental health, and Emmanuel Asuquo (TV financial advisor) explaining how to master your finances.

Community 

This theme is aboutcommunity as the ‘giving of time, money and effort. 

BE ACTIVE

Varsity 

The Varsity theme is about taking part, and instilling a sense of pride, and representing your college in the Varsity college cup. The previous winners were the College of Arts and Law.  See the UoBe Festival 2021 winners here

BE PROUD

Skills 

This theme is about on gaining skills to help prepare for the future, e.g. careers, financial management, life hacks and accredited short courses and skills that inspire and spark imagination, e.g. foreign language tasters, creative writing and science showcases.​

BE READY

Social 

This theme is about trying something new and meeting new people through social events.

BE INVOLVED

Wellbeing 

The wellbeing theme is about helping students to maintain balance, with tools, techniques and specific activities that will aimed to reduce pressure, increase self-acceptance and contentment aiding students in the art of ‘staying present’.
