Make an appointment with us for a one-to-one session to help you develop strategies to improve your academic skills. Please complete our online form and we will get back to you to book you in. 

Workshops

We offer a range of workshops to help you prepare for academic study, improve your note-taking, reading, writing and presentation skills. Our workshops usually last around an hour.

A dedicated service for College of Arts and Law students providing online activities and exercises, and individual support. If you are a CAL student, the AWAS for Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, and Postgraduate Research students course will be listed amongst your Canvas courses. Please email awas@contacts.bham.ac.uk if you find you are not enrolled.

Other skills support

The University's Careers Network can help develop your employability skills and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service will support your development of life skills. Specialist support is provided by the Learning Support Team for students with Specific Learning Difficulties

Support with Revision and Exam Skills

Support is available via our assessment support hub. The course covers revision strategies and how to prepare for different types of exams.
