We value our students and colleagues from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
The last few weeks have been disturbing for our colleagues and students from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds. COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on those from BAME communities. The unlawful killing of George Floyd has ignited anger and highlighted the continuing racism and injustice that affects black people across the world. As the Academic and Digital Skills Team within Library Services we want to state that we stand together with our black, Asian and minority ethnic staff, students and community against racism and prejudice.
We will not tolerate racism. We will listen and act to ensure that all students and staff feel safe and supported.
