Appointments with our maths and stats advisor are available for students who cannot take advantage of our drop-in service. They can also be booked by students who would benefit from the extra support, such as:
- Students on interdisciplinary Masters courses who do not have a strong mathematical or statistical background
- Students who have returned to education after a significant break in their studies
- Students with a specific learning difficulty, such as dyscalculia
- Students using statistical software such as SPSS or R for essays and dissertations
Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 16:00 UK time in the Main Library on the Edgbaston campus. These are available year-round with the exception of university closed days and public holidays. Appointments can be held online via Zoom for students who are unable to attend sessions in the Main Library.
